I’ve chosen to write my review about Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone because it’s my favorite film (with the entire saga), by far!
It was directed by Chris Columbus and distributed by Warners Bros. Pictures. This fantasy film was released on 4th November, 2001. It’s based on the book of the same name by J.K. Rowling. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, with Rupert Grint as Ronald Weasley, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. The film is the first movie of an eight film saga. It takes place in London and in Hogwarts School of Wizardry.
The story is about a young English teenager with round glasses and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead, Harry Potter. The film follows his first year at Hogwarts, the wizards’ school, when he’s brought to the Gryffindor house by the sorting hat. At Kings’ Cross railway station, he meets Ronald Weasley, who will explain to him how to get to platform 9 and 3/4. The Hogwarts Express, a black and red steam engine, is there and will take them to Hogwarts. Then, the story starts! Harry is also a very good Quidditch Seeker.
For me, it’s the best film ever! I think Daniel Radcliffe plays the role of Harry Potter in a convincing manner. I am very impressed by his tremendous performance. Furthermore, he was only 11 years old when he played in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I think Emma Watson is a very good actress too. Rupert Grint made me laugh a lot in this movie. His role is very funny. Also, the soundtrack is beautiful and was composed by John Williams. My favorite part is when Harry discovers he’s a wizard, when he meets Rubeus Hagrid.
Finally, it’s a very good film; I think it’s the best I’ve seen in my life. I invite you to watch it!
